Wes Mussio became a lawyer in 1991 and since that time has worked almost exclusively in the area of ICBC injury claims. He has also handled other personal injury claims including slip and fall matters along with estate litigation cases.
In his initial 12 years working as a lawyer, Mr. Mussio worked at two of the biggest ICBC defence firms doing principally ICBC defence work. As a result, Mr. Mussio gained extensive knowledge of the ICBC practices from the defence side.
Over the last 10 years, Mr. Mussio has been helping individuals pursue injury claims against ICBC and other insurance companies. He is the main partner at Mussio Law in downtown Vancouver. He now applies the knowledge gained working as an ICBC defence lawyer against ICBC in favour of his clients.
Mr. Mussio is a strong advocate of the mediation process with a view to settlement out of court. However, in the event that ICBC or another insurance company is unreasonable, he has no difficulty attending at court having acted as lead counsel in well over 200 Supreme Court and Court of Appeal trials.
Elliot S. Holden
Elliot joined Mussio Law in 2012 after completing his articles at a leading insurance defence firm. While there, he frequently attended the courtroom to represent insurance companies in a broad range of claims. As a result, he has a strong understanding of the insurance claim process and personal injury law.
Now acting exclusively for injured plaintiffs, Elliot is pleased to bring his experience to Mussio Law Group. He is able to use his knowledge of insurance companies, including ICBC, to the advantage of injured plaintiffs in a wide variety of personal injury claims.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Eric began his practice as a civil litigator with a premier downtown law firm, where he represented both injured plaintiffs and defendant insurers in personal injury and ICBC claims.
After several years, Eric went on to act solely on behalf of injured clients at an exclusive personal injury law firm, where he developed a proven track record of success in negotiations, mediations and, if a fair settlement could not be reached, the Supreme Court.
As a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, Eric now represents injured plaintiffs in a broad array of personal injury and ICBC claims.
Eric recognizes that a truly successful result requires a genuine understanding of a client’s particular needs. The result is a patient and detailed approach to client service, with a focus on maximizing the compensation they deserve.
